So you may wonder what are the drawbacks of a Precor elliptical? The biggest is probably the price. These ellipticals aren’t cheap; they are an investment. In this case “you get what you pay for” is a good thing. These are meant to be low maintenance, long lasting machines made for heavy use.
Another potential drawback is that many models don’t have moving hand holds for an upper body workout. Most models only have a static handlebar so you only have the lower body workout. While many people seem to be ok with this because they still feel it provides a great cardiovascular workout, it is something to consider before making the investment.
